i.e. girl ABOUT US i.e. girl—inspire excellence in everything by example—is a unique CANADIAN ministry specifically designed for teen girls by teen girls and women mentors. Our primary mandate is to encourage girls ages twelve to twenty to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as the foundation of their lives. Our objective is to enable them to become disciples and leaders fulfilling 1 Timothy 4:12, as examples of love, faith, speech, life and purity. Our goal is to develop passionate, dedicated, discerning, and committed teen girls who will be our godly leaders in the next decade. Since our launch in 2006, i.e. girl has held several weekend retreats each year in cities across Canada. We are passionate about seeing every girl across Canada come to a personal relationship with Christ and become all she is meant to be! i.e. girl is a mentoring program of Women Alive (www.womenalive.org), a national inter-denominational ministry, founded in 1973. One of Women Alive’s key purposes is to fulfill Titus 2:3 and ensure that women are mentoring the next generation. We are passionate about nurturing and equipping the next generation of Canadian women to fulfill their God-given potential and impact their culture for Christ. Mission Statement To RESCUE young women from the evil and deceit in today’s world. To RESTORE their hearts with Truth and purpose. To REBUILD each young woman with a rock solid foundation, resulting in a true identity. To RELEASE them with new worth. They in turn, being confident of their own “loved, honored and precious lives” will inspire excellence as they reach out to rescue others. We are raising the bar of excellence through the power of example with REAL TRUTH and TRUE LOVE. Mandate i.e girl’s mandate is to inspire excellence in everything by example, based on 1 Timothy 4:12. Vision Rebuilding the nation of Canada through the power of REAL TRUTH and TRUE LOVE: Girl to girl Family to family School to School City to city Province to province Sea to sea. Creating a culture and love in and through CANADIAN women that will give the world something to talk about!!! Specifics To lead, equip, encourage and nurture a generation by our example and the example of Jesus Christ. Founded in love and expressed through actions. We are passionate about the transformation we have experienced in our own lives through Christ and we desire to provide hope, guidance and purpose to assist each girl on their journey at whatever stage they are at. Though we host weekend events, it is our highest priority to develop follow up curriculum and the opportunity to continue in the learning, experiences and relationships girl have formed at the weekend. It is also our desire to work with local churches and youth organizations to connect the girls to a regular support system that will continue the mentoring. |
